Basement Windows

Windows have the ability to make your basement more aesthetically pleasing and boost safety. Large basement windows, sometimes known as "egress windows," from Pella of Murray are created to allow more light into underground areas than the older, smaller, rectangular windows that sit above ground. They also offer an escape in case of an emergency.

The primary difference between basement, or egress, windows and standard windows is that basement windows must be made for an average-sized person to make it out in order to meet safety requirements set up in building codes. You’re able to select from properly sized casement, sliding or double-hung windows when you put in basement windows. Make sure you totally understand local building codes prior to purchasing basement windows.
